Winter clothing project launched to benefit 570 families
The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) and the International Islamic Charity Organization (IICO) launched a winter clothing project that gives away clothes, blankets, heaters, and fuel vouchers to people in five governorates.
A statement issued Thursday by the JHCO said the project targets 570 low-income families in Amman, Ajloun, Tafileh, Mafraq, and Zarqa in collaboration with local charity organizations, benefiting some 2,850 individuals.
The campaign, sponsored by Kuwaiti Ambassador Aziz Al-Dihani, will provide basic commodities to Jordanians and other nationalities as well, according to IICO's Jordan Office Director Mustafa Awwad.
Secretary-General of JHCO, Hussein Shibli, thanked Kuwait and other organizations and entities for supporting the project that will mitigate extra economic burdens during the winter season.
