The Royal Naval Force Thursday foiled a dawn attempt to smuggle a large amount of narcotics inside Jordanian territorial waters, an official source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army said.
The source said: “The situation was dealt with after the Maritime Operations Center monitored a person attempting to swim using a rubber tube inside the Jordanian territorial waters, and the naval force’s boats and the naval rapid reaction were immediately moved to the site, and the infiltrator was caught in possession of a quantity of narcotics.”
After a search , quantities of narcotic substances were found and transferred to the competent security authorities, it said.
