Minister of Culture, Greek counterpart discuss cooperation between two countries
Minister of Culture, Haifaa Najjar, and the Greek Minister of Culture and Sports, Dr. Lina Mendoni, discussed on Tuesday ways to enhance, support and develop cultural exchange and cooperation between Jordan and the Greek Republic.
Najjar said in the meeting that Jordan and Greece share many commonalities, human values, visions, and strong relations, which It is reinforced by the wisdom of the leadership of the two friendly countries, and the wise vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
She emphasized the role of His Majesty King Abdullah II, through the Hashemite custodianship, in preserving the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, noting Jordan's harmony and coexistence among its various societal components.
For her part, the Greek minister affirmed the depth of the distinguished relations and friendship between the two countries and peoples in various fields.
In the meeting, which took place at the Ministry's headquarters in Amman, the two sides agreed on the importance of moving forward in enhancing cultural cooperation, exchanging experiences, and cultural and folklore partnerships between the two countries, and the importance of Greece's participation in the upcoming Jerash Festival of Culture and Arts, especially through artistic and folklore groups.
