PSD chief, British & Canadian envoys talk enhancing security cooperation
Director of Public Security Directorate (PSD) Maj. Gen. Obaidullah Maaitah on Sunday discussed with British and Canadian ambassadors to Jordan, Bridget Brind Tarik Khan, respectively, ways to enhance joint cooperation in all fields to serve the the three countries' police and security work system.
During two separate meetings, Maaitah highlighted the importance of the 'extended strategic' partnership with Britain and Canada, especially in the field of building security capabilities and exchanging expertise.
He lauded level of PSD's cooperation with British and Canadian embassies, which contributes to strengthening international peace and security.
He also emphasized PSD's keenness to boost this cooperation through partnership programs aimed at achieving modernization and development, and upgrading the level of police services provided to citizens.
For their part, Brind and Khan hailed PSD's 'good' reputation and achievements by providing a 'modern' security umbrella related to nature and level of police and humanitarian services provided to citizens and tourists.
The two envoys also voiced their countries' keenness to expand cooperation frameworks and exchange expertise.
