Minister of Health asks General Security to follow up advertisements of unlicensed beauty centers
Minister of Health, Dr. Firas Hawari, asked the Director of Public Security to direct the Criminal Investigation Department to follow up on fake advertisements on social media about allegations of medical and cosmetic operations, in order to preserve the health of the citizen and the renaissance of the health sector.
Hawari sent a letter to the Director of Public Security in which he referred to the fake advertisements on various social media by unqualified persons or those with competence claiming to carry out medical and cosmetic procedures and announcing the sale of medical and cosmetic preparations, as well as the practice of medical procedures in places not designated for the purpose of financial gain.
This is considered a violation of the regulations and instructions issued under the Jordanian Public Health Law, and results in serious harm to the citizen's health and to Jordan's good reputation as a result of these misleading advertisements for a group of persons and centers that are not licensed to carry out these procedures and operations, Hawari indicated.
