PM receives Yemen Presidential Leadership Council chairman
Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh on Monday evening met with Yemen Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Al Alimi.
The meeting covered ways to enhance bilateral ties and efforts to reach a political solution that restores security and stability to Yemen and its brotherly people.
In the meeting, attended by officials from both countries, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the of Yemen and its people in the heart and conscience of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, lauding the deep-rooted ties between the two countries.
Khasawneh also emphasized Jordan's stance, under the leadership of His Majesty, in support of efforts and endeavors to reach a political solution that guarantees the restoration of security and stability to Yemen and its brotherly people.
He also expressed keenness to bolster cooperation to serve the common interests of the two countries and peoples.
The Premier and the Yemeni top official agreed to hold meetings of the joint Jordan-Yemen Higher Committee in Amman as soon as possible.
For his part, Yemen Presidential Leadership Council Chairman, Rashad Al Alimi, highlighted developments in Yemen, expressing on his behalf and the Council members his appreciation for King's supportive stances to achieve security and stability in Yemen in various regional and international forums.
He commended the humanitarian facilities provided by Jordan to the Yemenis residing in the Kingdom.
Al Alimi also expressed his confidence that this visit would represent an additional impetus to cement bilateral ties in various fields.
