Cold weather, rain showers expected in north, central regions on Wednesday
A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, bringing relatively cold and partly cloudy weather, with a chance for scattered showers in the northern and central regions, extending later to cover other areas, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Toward evening, clouds will gradually decrease as cold conditions will prevail in most parts of the Kingdom, the JMD added, predicting that fair weather will dominate in the southern city of Aqaba.
In its report, the JMD warned of poor horizontal visibility due to fog formation in the early morning hours over highlands, and of slippery roads in areas experiencing rain.
On Thursday, similar cloudy skies and relatively cold weather will persist in much areas of the country, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be moderate.
Today, temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 20 degrees Celsius and a low of 8C, while the port city of Aqaba will see a high of 28C, sliding to 17C at night.
