The Kingdom will continue to be affected by unstable weather conditions on Tuesday, with partly cloudy skies and scattered showers in different regions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
The rainfall is expected to be heavy at times in some areas, accompanied by thunder, lightning and hail, and causing floods in the low-lying areas including the Dead Sea, while winds will be easterly to northwesterly moderate.
The JMD warned of poor horizontal visibility due to fog formation, slippery roads in the areas experiencing rain, flash floods in valleys and lowlands, and of thunder storms.
On Wednesday, similar weather conditions will persist with a slight drop in mercury levels. The rainfall will extend in the afternoon to cover limited parts of the southern areas, while winds will be northwesterly moderate, picking up at times.
Relatively cold weather will continue on Thursday, with a slight chance for rain in the northern region of the Kingdom, and moderate northwesterly winds.
Today, temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 20 degrees Celsius and a low of 9C, while the port city of Aqaba will see a high of 29C, sliding to 19C at night.
