State of air instability on Sunday, rain showers are expected
Unstable weather conditions are expected to affect the Kingdom on Sunday, bringing cloudy skies with a chance for scattered showers in the eastern and southeastern regions extending later to cover the central areas.
In a daily brief, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) predicted that rainfall will be heavier accompanied by thunder storms at times, while winds will be easterly moderate to active, blowing dust in the Badia.
The JMD warned of low horizontal visibility due to dust in the Badia, and of possible danger from floods in valleys and lowlands, and of slippery roads during rain.
Similar unstable weather will persist on Monday and Tuesday as cloudy and rainy conditions will remain in various areas of the country, the JMD added.
Today, temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 22 degrees Celsius and a low of 9C, while the port city of Aqaba will see a high of 30C, sliding to 20C at night.
