Housing rent aid granted to vulnerable Syrian refugee families in Irbid-JHCO
The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) , in cooperation with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) , distributed the second batch of cash-for-rent assistance to a number of Syrian refugee households in northern Irbid governorate.
The JHCO, in a statement on Wednesday, said this aid comes within the housing support project targeting Syrian families in Jordan, which was launched at the beginning of 2022 to secure housing for Syrian refugee families.
As per prerequisites to obtain assistance, the household head, or a family member must suffer from diseases in the spinal cord or muscular dystrophy, which causes the person's inability to lead a normal life and affects his ability to secure a source of income or daily sustenance for the family, the statement added.
