E-service launched to issue, renew passports for Jordanians in Paris, Rabat and Oslo
The Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD) announced an e-service to issue and renew passports for Jordanians residing in Paris, Rabat and Oslo.
In a statement to 'Petra' on Wednesday, CSPD director general, Fahd Amoush, said Jordanians residing in France, Morocco, and Norway can, as of next Sunday, submit requests for issuing and renewing passports on its e-service platform, and at Jordanian embassy in the country of residence.
Regarding the mechanism for submitting applications, he indicated that citizens residing in those countries can access the department’s e-services link via the link https://eservices.cspd.gov.jo or the department’s official website www.cspd.gov.jo.
He said applicants need to fill in the data required and send their photos with an ID to verify identity. Then, citizens can submit a request to issue or renew the passport electronically in those countries, and accordingly the application is duly checked and a notification is sent to the applicant to visit the concerned embassy to complete the passport issuance procedures.
Amoush noted launch of this e-service in these countries came as a continuation of CSPD's e- services project to citizens inside and outside the Kingdom, noting that this step will be implemented to the rest of the countries to serve all Jordanian expatriates.
To date, he noted CSPD's e-services are provided round the clock at 24 diplomatic missions in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh, Jeddah), the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai), Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Turkey, Romania, Greece, Egypt, Algeria, and Canada Australia, America, Russia, Germany, Italy, Spain and Britain.
