Upon the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah , the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) prepared and dispatched an emergency relief aid plane with a load of approximately 11 tons for the benefit of the affected people in Nigeria, after the floods that led to great losses and damages in 34 states.
According to a statement issued by the commission, Coordination with the Jordan Armed Forces -Arab Army/Air Force was made to equip the plane and load it with relief and food materials, according to a statement issued by the JHCO.
Arrangements were also made with the Nigerian authorities for the purpose of receiving these materials by the competent authorities so that they could be distributed to the beneficiaries there.
The Secretary-General of the JHCO, Dr. Hussein Shibli, said that the authority and in implementation of the royal directives to provide aid to Nigeria, after the floods that afflicted the country, which resulted in damage and loss of lives, infrastructure and agricultural lands, work has been done to prepare food and shelter relief materials, and coordinate with Jordan Armed Forces for the purposes of delivering the materials and delivering them to the concerned authorities there.
