House Speaker meets Palestinian human rights delegation over cooperation
Lower House Speaker Abdul Karim Doghmi said Jordan, under His Majesty King Abdullah II's leadership, 'fully' stands by brotherly Palestinian people in their struggle to achieve their legitimate rights, forremost establishment of their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
Meeting on Wednesday, with a delegation representing Human Rights and Civil Society Department in Palestine liberation Organization (PLO), Doghmi said the House continues to make all efforts to expose all Israeli practices and violations and form an international parliamentary position to support Palestinian people to achieve their legitimate rights on their national soil.
He also expressed his 'strong' condemnation of the Israeli occupation army's incursions into Palestinian cities and their repeated attacks, the latest was the aggression on the West Bank cities of Nablus and Ramallah.
Doghmi stressed the need to maintain Jordanian-Palestinian coordination and consultation on all issues of common concern, especially file of Palestinian people's rights.
For their part, the delegation, headed by chief of Palestinian Human Rights and Civil Society Department in Palestine liberation Organization (PLO), Ahmad Tamimi, lauded Jordan's 'firm and unwavering' stance towards the Palestinian cause, and its support for the Palestinian people's right to gain their freedom and establish their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
