Ministerial committee on public sector modernization meets
The Higher Ministerial Committee to follow up on the implementation of the public sector modernization roadmap met Tuesday at the Prime Minister's office, chaired by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nasser Shraideh.
The panel reviewed the progress of work in the modernization scheme and discussed holding a meeting with secretaries-general of ministries and public institutions' directors in the coming period to discuss the key areas of the plan and their roles in its implementation.
The ministers commended the efforts of the Economic and Social Council, which is overseeing a national dialogue across the governorates and debates with experts to gather thoughts and ideas on the modernization plan.
The ministers also looked into recommendations by a ministerial workshop held at the Dead Sea this month, which tackled women’s sustainable role in the public sector modernization process and their opportunities and challenges facing them.
The committee also discussed legislation contained in the public sector modernization scheme in its first phase (2022-2025), and relevant regulations and procedures.
