$4.2 billion in tourism income for Jordan until third quarter of 2022
The latest data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan indicated that tourism income increased during September 2022 compared to the corresponding month of last year by 155.8 million dinars, or 60.7%, to reach 412.5 million dinars ($581.8 million).
This came as a result of the increase in the number of tourists coming to the Kingdom during the same month by about 168.3 thousand tourists, compared to the same month of last year, reaching 487.9 thousand tourists, which is the highest level reached by the number of tourists during the month of September since 2013.
During the first three quarters of 2022, tourism income increased by 1,752.3 million dinars, or 140.8%, to 2,996.9 million dinars ($4,226.9 million) compared to the corresponding period of 2021.
This came as a result of the increase in the number of tourists coming to the Kingdom by 2,177.8 thousand, to reach 3,662.6 thousand tourists.
