The Ministry of Health (MoH) denied reports that a patient in the northeastern governorate of Mafraq had been diagnosed with cholera.
The patient, a Syrian woman, presented to the Mafraq Government Hospital complaining of normal illness, according to MoH Secretary-General Raed Shboul, and her cholera laboratory tests came back negative.
The woman was discharged from the hospital yesterday, he added.
