Al-Tweissi denies the sale of Petra: an attack by naive parties and sheer lies
Former Minister Dr. Adel Tweissi said that Petra and its district (Wadi Musa) are subject to a major media attack whenever the Petra regional authority law is presented to the concerned constitutional authorities for amendments to allow investment in its vicinity.
Commenting on the rumors of selling the city, Dr. Tweissi added that this attack was issued by 'parties with purposes that I do not know of, and other naive parties whose mission has become to transmit information without scrutiny.'
Tweissi asked: Why is Petra denied investment through rental?
Al-Tweissi denied false information in an article he received from an unknown party, stressing that it is pure lies, the most important of which are the following: There is no British journalist with this name, as the name (Penny) is for a female and not for a male, and there is a British journalist who works as a correspondent for a British TV channel in Africa and has no interest in Middle Eastern issues. By British journalist Penny Marshall:
A beautiful village called (Umm Zion) It is 260 km away from the Jordanian capital and very close to the pink city of Petra. Currently, this village is called Umm Sayhoun instead of its real name Umm Zion, in relation to an ancient Hebrew name that indicates the crossing of the Prophet Moses, Aaron and the Children of Israel towards the Holy Land (Palestine) and in it is the shrine of the Prophet Aaron. There is a deal A real purchase between a Jewish businessman and the Jordanian government, with Emirati mediation, for 3 years, to buy the village of Umm Zion 'Umm Sayhoun' and large lands in Wadi Musa, including the Pink City of Petra. The amount requested by the Jordanian government is 20 billion and the Emirati mediator offers 12 billion dollars by the businessman. The Australian Jew, and the deal is still oscillating between the right and the north until an agreement is reached on the sale of land, and the residents of Umm Sahyun village 'Umm Sihon' will be deported to Adrah, and poor housing will be built for them instead of random housing in the village of 'Umm Zion'.
