The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) has issued a warning of messages circulating on social media and the internet, especially through WhatsApp, that would pretend the CBJ is giving out grants and funds to hack their phones.
In a statement, the CBJ affirmed its keenness not to let people fall victim to banking fraud and frauds, which were detected by the bank.
It urged people who would receive such messages not to respond or share the messages and to refer to the official website of the CBJ at www.cbj.gov.jo to cross-check.
