House Economy Committee launches dialogue on 2022 investment environment bill
The Lower House Economy and Investment Committee, headed by MP Khair Abu Sa'ilik, has launched a national dialogue on a draft law regulating the 2022 investment environment with local economic sectors.
Addressing a meeting attended by Minister of Investment, Khairy Amro on Wednesday, Abu Sa'ilik said the committee has started its discussions on Wednesday, by listening to views, observations and proposals of various Jordanian business, investment and trade stakeholders.
Abu Sa'ilik also called on submitting all suggestions and observations to the House panel, which will be given due attention when the bill is approved.
The committee's deliberations reflect keenness on public interest and based on Economic Modernization Vision, which represents a national road map with 'ambitious and realistic' standards, he pointed out, adding that the committee will spare no effort and will seek expert assistance to improve this law's clause.
Stressing the importance of the Parliament's Lower House-Senate' partnership, he said this joint effort would have have a 'significant' impact on accelerating the process of approving the investment law.
