Minister of Labor Nayef Stetieh on Tuesday met with Abdulhakim Elwaer, Assistant Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and regional representative for the Near East and North Africa, who is currently visiting Jordan.
The meeting covered ways of cooperation between the FAO and the Ministry of Labor, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Vocational Training Corporation, to provide job opportunities for Jordanian youth through the establishment of distinguished training centers that adopt the latest training methods and advanced technologies on modern agricultural patterns.
During the meeting, attended by Jordan's representative at the FAO, Nabil Assaf, the minister said that the ministry, within royal directives, is working with all concerned parties in partnership with the private sector on all files according to the vision of economic modernization.
For his part, Elwaer stressed that FAO is making great efforts to deal with the various crises in the region, pointing out that there is an important partnership with Jordan in a number of files.
