Foreign ministry following up on Jordanian- Lebanese basketball teams' dispute
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs on Sunday said it is following up, through the Jordanian embassy in Jakarta, the dispute that occurred among players of the Jordanian and Lebanese teams participating in the FIBA Basketball Asia Cup 2022 tournament.
In a press statement on Sunday, the ministry said it contacted the President of the Jordan Basketball Association (JBA), Mohammad Alyan, who is in touch with Jordanian ambassador in Jakarta in this regard.
The ambassador has attended in person to check on conditions of Jordanian national team participating in the tournament, and continues to follow up on the issue with the JBA Secretary General, Nabil Abu Atta, and the Lebanese Embassy in Jakarta, the ministry added.
