Dughmi talks ties with Algerian, Bangladeshi ambassadors
Lower House Speaker Abdul Karim Dughmi on Sunday separately received Ambassadors of Algeria Mohamed Sherif and Bangladesh Nahida Subhan to discuss bilateral cooperation.
The Algerian envoy handed Dughmi an invitation from Salah Goudjil, President of the Council of the Nation, and Ibrahim Boughali, President of the People's National Assembly, to attend the 17th session of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Member States slated for mid-July next year in Algeria.
During the meeting, Dughmi stressed the strong Jordanian-Algerian relations that reflected on issues of joint interest, mainly the Palestinian cause and the Hashemite Custodianship on Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem.
In his meeting with the Bangladeshi envoy, Dughmi pointed to Jordan's appreciation of Bangladesh's support for Arab issues.
In turn, Subhan underlined the 'deep-rooted, robust ties,' emphasizing that her country backs the Palestinian cause, other Arab issues, and the Hashemite Custodianship of Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem.
