Dughmi lauds King's efforts to defend Arab rights, causes
Lower House Speaker, Abdul Karim Dughmi, highlighted His Majesty King Abdullah II's efforts at the international and regional levels, which reflected commitment to defending Arab nation’s legitimate and historical rights.
Speaking at the House's first non-ordinary sessions on Wednesday, Dughmi referred to the King's speech at the Jeddah Summit for Security and Development, which highlighted the pan-Arab aspirations and their main issues, foremost is the Palestinian cause.
The King, he said, pushed the path of Jordan's economic and administrative modernization, in a bid to complete legislative package, which would contribute to creating development horizons in all state corporations.
In this regard, he primarily noted the economic and investment environment laws, which are scheduled to debated by the Parliament in its first extraordinary session, which kicked off today and continues the modernization vision set by King Abdullah II.
The House is aware of the 'complicated' crises regionally and globally, which left 'remarkable' impact on the Kingdom, calling on working jointly to achieve Jordan's development, freedom, democracy and social justice goals, according to Dughmi.
