Judge Fayez Hamarneh, a member of the Constitutional Court, highlighted the Jordanian court's distinguished relations with the German Federal Constitutional Court (BVerfG), thanks to the ongoing contact and consultation to keep pace with the latest developments in the constitutional judiciary in both countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Wednesday.
During the event, the gathering was briefed, by Judge and court member Akram Massadeh on Jordan's constitutional history, from the Constitution of 1952 to the recent constitutional amendments, which are “the fruit of the formation of the Constitutional Court”.
Reviewing the German court's structure, Michael Eichberger, a retired judge from the BVerfG, said that each state has its own constitutional body and powers based on the law.
