PM mourns passing of former deputy PM Marwan Hmoud
Prime Minister Bisher Al Khasawneh on Tuesday mourned the passing of former deputy prime minister and minister Marwan Hmoud who died earlier today.
Khasawneh paid tribute to Al-Hmoud’s efforts in public service, expressing condolences to his family.
Hmoud served as deputy prime minister in 1999-2000, as well as minister of agriculture, minister of interior, minister of municipal and rural affairs, and minister of municipal and rural affairs and environment.
Hmoud also assumed several positions on local and Arab levels.
Born in 1942 in Salt, Hmoud was a recipient of several of the Order of the Renaissance/1st Class.
