Combat troops of the Royal 3rd Tank Battalion, one of the units of the Prince Hassan Bin Talal Armoured Brigade/60 Royal, of the Central Military Zone, carried out Tuesday a tactical exercise in the training field.
The drill was attended by Assistant for Operations and Training, Brig. Gen. Abdullah Shdeifat, commander of the zone, Brig. Gen. Abdullah Al-Hunaiti, other senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army (JAF), and a number of military attaches.
It is part of the JAF General Command directives to maintain a high level of operational readiness of all units.
The exercise featured responses to potential threats, including an orchestrated day attack by a combat team using the Centauro tank, during which mortars and MD weapons were used with close air support by Little Bird helicopters, as well as medical evacuations and supplies of fuel and ammunition.
The participating troops exhibited high skills in executing the tasks during the various stages of the exercise, precision and physical fitness.
