Jordan-France ties serve ambitious common objectives
Deep-rooted ties between Jordan and France serve an ambitious relationship and common objectives, French ambassador in Amman Véronique Vouland-Aneini said Tuesday.
In a statement released after the six-month French Presidency of the EU Council came to an end, the ambassador said that in Jordan, the EU and its member states have provided more than €6 billion in humanitarian aid, development aid and budget support since 2014.
She also noted a meeting of EU-Jordan Association Council which was convened in early June in Amman for the first time as well as a meeting between His Majesty King Abdullah II and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission.
