The Greater Madaba Municipality on Sunday signed a joint cooperation and friendship agreement with the Spanish city of Manises, famous for its pottery and ceramics industries.
The agreement was signed by Madaba Mayor Aref Rawajeeh and Head of Delegation and Coordinator of the Manises City Council for the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN), Mar?a Jorse.
Rawajeeh expressed his pride in this visit and the concluded agreement, which aims to provide more joint cooperation and exchange expertise, knowledge and culture to support the development of local communities and cities.
For he part, Jorse lauded the warm reception, and voiced her pride in the strong relationship between the two countries.
She added that Madaba is the home of many tourist monuments and constitutes a global distinctive model, in terms of stone mosaics.
