Irbid Chamber of Commerce, French Agency for Development discuss cooperation
President of the Irbid Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Muhammad Shouha and Head of the French Agency for Development (AFD) in Jordan Laurent Duriez on Sunday discussed prospects of cooperation.
Shouha said the training center in the ICC, which offers 18 certificates accredited by Jordanian universities, is committed to boosting cooperation with the AFD in vocational training to address poverty and unemployment.
Shouha called on the AFD to back the ICC’s training projects for small and micro-projects that positively affect society.
He pointed out training programs implemented by the ICC, such as hybrid vehicles and mobile phone maintenance, commending the AFD's role in establishing infrastructure-development projects in several fields.
For his part, Duriez welcomed cooperation with the ICC to benefit the local community and boost families' and invidiuuals' economies, noting prospects of conducting new training programs in collaboration with the chamber to achieve sustainable development.
