Labor Minister discusses creating more jobs for Jordanians in Qatar
Minister of Labor, Nayef Stetieh, on Tuesday said that he agreed with the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI), First Vice Chairman, Mohamed Bin Ahmed Twar Al Kuwari, to form a technical work team whose mission is to communicate with Qatari private sector companies and identify skills required in the sector, in addition to activating the Jordanian employment platform with Qatar, and benefiting from the Jordanian competencies and expertise registered on it.
Stetieh, who started an official visit to Doha, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that Al Kuwari and him discussed the mechanism of cooperation with the QCCI to encourage Qatari private sector companies to create more jobs for Jordanian youth through the Qatar platform, in order to provide the opportunity for qualified, trained and highly skilled Jordanian youth to work in various fields in the Qatari private sector.
Stetieh underlined his ministry's role in facilitating communication berween Jordanian youth and Qatari private sector companies, through the 'Qatar' platform, an electronic platform prepared for this purpose.
In the meeting, attended by Jordan's Ambassador to Qatar, Zeid Louzi, and QCCI members, Stetieh and Al Kuwari discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
