The shared ambition is to reach a cleaner energy future by supporting developing countries with funding and technical know-how, Jennifer Morgan, German State Secretary and Special Envoy for International Climate Action, said.
Speaking at a press conference on the sidelines of the regional energy conference held in the Dead Sea on Wednesday, Morgan noted Germany supports all efforts to expand integration of renewable sources and find ways to ensure energy efficiency by launching bilateral partnerships in this field.
'We look forward to addressing climate challenges by more cooperation globally to accelerate solutions for the energy transition to reach a more sustainable environment,' she added.
Next year, she announced two conferences will be held in the UAE and Egypt, on climate, adding that the Arab region is witnessing a climate crisis, and has a lot to offer in the renewable energy field.
