2021 State of Country Report recommends addressing environmental violations
The 2021 State of the Country Report called for addressing all environmental violations (environmental crime), in addition to providing solutions and possible ways to reduce such violations.
The report, issued annually by the Economic and Social Council, recommended continuing issuance of periodic reports which provide urgent data to decision-makers, other partners and stakeholders in the environmental sector.
It pointed to the need to enhance the participation of civil society institutions, especially environmental associations, in formulating decisions and instructions related to the protection and preservation of the environment and the involvement of local communities living in the most adversely affected areas.
The report recommended supporting the production of digital content in all its forms and clarifying the danger of negative human behavior on environment.
