Dry, hot weather forecast almost countrywide on Saturday-JMD
The Kingdom is affected by a hot air mass on Saturday, as a significant rise in temperatures is forecast, exceeding their seasonal average by about 6-8 degrees Celsius, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
Therefore, the weather is dry and relatively hot in the hilltops and plains, and hot elsewhere, with southeasterly moderate winds, causing dust, especially in the Kingdom's southern and eastern areas, the JMD noted.
According to the JMD report, a 'remarkable' drop in mercury is forecast on Sunday, to return to their seasonal average and the weather will become moderate, with southeast to southwesterly, active winds, causing dust especially in the Badia regions.
As for Monday, moderate conditions are expected, with northwesterly moderate winds, while a slight rise in mercury is forecast on Tuesday and the weather will be warm almost countrywide.
Also on Saturday, temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 35 degrees Celsius and a low of 20C, while the port city of Aqaba will see a scorching 41C during the day, sliding to 28C at night.
