Moderate weather to persist countrywide on Thursday
Moderate weather conditions are forecast to prevail on Thursday in most parts of the Kingdom, while it will be warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Clouds will appear at high altitudes, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.
Friday will see a slight rise in mercury levels, bringing warm weather countrywide, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be relatively hot. High-altitude clouds will appear with northeasterly to northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, stirring dust in the Badia.
On Saturday, the Kingdom will be affected by a heatwave that will push temperatures 6-8 degrees above annual average, bringing dry and relatively hot weather in the high areas, while it will be hot elsewhere.
Today, temperatures in Amman will range between 25 degrees Celsius and 12C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a high of 34C, sliding to 20C during night hours.
