Temperatures on Wednesday are forecast to rise 3-5 degrees above their annual average for this time of year, with warm weather prevailing in the mountains and the plains, while it will be relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Clouds will appear at various altitudes, with a chance for scattered showers and thunder in the eastern parts of the Kingdom. Winds will be northeasterly to northwesterly moderate, picking up at times.
Similar weather conditions will persist on Thursday, while Friday will see another rise in mercury levels, bringing hot weather nationwide with dusty winds.
Mercury in Amman today will range between a high of 30 degrees Celsius and a low of 15C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a high of 38C, sliding to 21C at night.
