Army Chief: JAF will see remarkable development in coming years
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti said that the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army (JAF) will in the coming years see remarkable development in operational, training and logistical support fields.
He spoke during a Ramadan Iftar banquet Monday evening at the Rapid Intervention Battalion/ 91, one of the units of the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Rapid Intervention/High Readiness Brigade.
Huneiti was briefed by the brigade's commander on the uses of rapid intervention, the progress operational and training programmes and all matters related to raising the combat readiness of brigade units.
The army chief conveyed to officers the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, expressing his pride in their efforts and pledging that the armed forces will continue their developmental role and enhance the national economy.
