Higher Population Council highlights challenges in creativity sector
One of the most prominent challenges facing creativity and innovation in Jordan is “its weak culture and poor empowerment of manpower”, as well as lack of a specific definition of creativity and the difficulty of measuring it at the national level, along with the poor coordination between stakeholders and the scarcity of local and international funding sources for creators and innovators, the Higher Population Council said on Wednesday.
In a statement issued on the occasion of World Creativity and Innovation Day, which falls on April 21, the council expressed keenness in raising awareness of the role of creativity and innovation in problem-solving, as well as economic, social and sustainable development, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The United Nations designated April 21 as World Creativity and Innovation Day to raise awareness of the role of creativity and innovation in all aspects of human development, according to their website.
