Civil Defence Department (CDD) cadres on Sunday recovered the body of an 18-year-old who died after drowning in the King Abdullah Canal in the al-Kraiymah area in Al-Aghwar Ash-Shamaliyah (Northern Jordan Valley) district.
The district director Ali Hawamdeh told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the body was evacuated to the Abu Obeida Al-Jarrah Public Hospital, while the Public Prosecutor and police examined the scene of the accident, and investigations into the incident was initiated.
The body was transferred to the Northern Region's Forensic Medical Center to determine the cause of death, Hawamdeh explained.
