The Public Security Department’s Cyber Crimes Unit warned on Friday of fake electronic links circulating on social media platforms and messaging applications claiming to be the official links for applying assistance for the poor.
The unit confirmed that such electronic links are fraudulent, aiming either to hack phones or steal personal data.
It also warned people against circulating any suspicious links or accessing them in order to avoid falling victims to any kind of fraud or electronic theft.
