Police on Tuesday arrested the main suspect in the attack on a restaurant in Amman, who appeared in video that was circulated on social media.
The police received a report on March 28 on a person who attacked a restaurant in central Amman, causing material damage, without any injuries, the Public Security Department (PSD) spokesperson said.
The police, then, moved to the restaurant, and identified the main suspect in the attack, in addition to two other people who accompanied him, the PSD spokesperson added.
Upon investigation, police found out that the reason for the attack was financial disputes with the owner of the restaurant, the spokesperson noted.
While conducting the search for the main suspect, police were able to determine his whereabouts, and arrested him and referred him to the judiciary, while the search is still underway for the two people who were with him, the spokesperson concluded.
