His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday met with Israel Defense Minister Benny Gantz at Al Husseiniya Palace, according to a statement released by the Royal Hashemite Court.
The meeting emphasised the need to find a real horizon to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, maintaining the status quo in Jerusalem and the steps intended to be taken ahead of the month of Ramadan in order to preserve freedom of worship.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, and Director of the Office of His Majesty, Dr. Jafar Hassan, and General Intelligence Department Director Maj. Gen. Ahmad Husni.
