FM, Algerian counterpart urge speedy signing of bilateral agreements
Deputy Premiere, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra on Saturday agreed to expedite the signing a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding to increase bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The agreements that the two countries are working to implement and activate include cooperation in the medical sector, economic and investment cooperation agreements and exempting diplomats from entry visas, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
The ministers also discussed preparations for holding the ninth session of the joint Jordanian-Algerian Higher Committee in Amman this year.
During the meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the Doha Forum, Safadi and Lamamra reaffirmed the keen interest in further enhancing the 'brotherly' relations between the two countries, and also discussed a number of Arab and international issues.
