FM reiterates Jordan's solidarity with Saudi Arabia
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on Saturday reaffirmed that Jordan stands with Saudi Arabia in the face of Houthi terrorist attacks targeting Saudi energy facilities, security and stability.
During a meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan on the sidelines of the Doha Forum, Safadi reiterated Jordan's condemnation of Houthi attacks on Saudi oil facilities, which caused a fire in one of oil giant Aramco's petroleum distribution stations in Jeddah yesterday.
Jordan stands with the Saudi brothers in any step they take to protect their security and interests, Safadi told his Saudi counterpart.
During the meeting, Safadi and Prince Faisal discussed ways to strengthen the strategic brotherly relations, and stressed their keenness to develop cooperation in various fields.
The ministers said the two Kingdoms firmly stand together in the face of challenges and continue to work to increase bilateral cooperation and coordination to solve regional crises and achieve security and stability.
Safadi and Prince Faisal discussed a number of regional and international issues, top of which was the Palestinian issue, countering Houthi terrorism, efforts to reach a political solution to the Yemeni and Syrian crises and the conflict in Ukraine and its repercussions on the region and the world, especially regarding energy and food security.
They agreed to continue coordination on various regional issues.
