Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh Wednesday praised the Independent Elections Commission (IEC) in its 'objective, transparent and efficient' efforts in overseeing and organising the local elections.
Khasawneh said that the IEC have practiced their constitutional mandate objectively and efficiently in organising and supervising the local elections.
The premier commended all those who were involved in the elections; the Interior Ministry, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) and the Ministry of Local Administration, in addition to media that covered the elections.
He added that Jordanians abroad must be enabled to participate in the local elections.
Moreover, the Cabinet approved an amendment to the Labour Ministry's administrative system bylaw for 2022. It also approved the Jordan Valley Authority (JVA's) administrative system bylaw for 2022.
