Political will behind strong Jordan-Tunisia ties, says envoy
Tunisian Ambassador Khaled Al Suhaili said Saturday that his country maintains 'distinguished' relations with Jordan, thanks to a strong political will by the two countries' leadership to elevate cooperation into an effective partnership.
He told a press conference to mark Tunisia's 66th independence anniversary that relations with Jordan, which are more than 60 years old, are a model for cooperation between countries as they witness steady growth over the years.
He cited the cancellation of visa fees between the two countries and an 18% increase in the trade volume in 2021, noting ongoing coordination and consultation and identical positions on various issues based on a policy of moderation and a common desire to enhance cultural cooperation through signed agreements.
