COVID-19 kills 21 in Jordan, taking death toll to 13,835
COVID-19 killed 21 in Jordan in the last 24 hours, as the death toll stands at 13,835 and a total of 8,234 cases were recorded, pushing the caseload to some 1.6 million, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
The MhH said on Monday that 20.7 percent of the 39,670 tests conducted today came back positive.
It said 142 people had recovered and were discharged from hospitals while 98 others were admitted, as the total number of COVID-19 patients receiving medical treatment in hospitals hit 713.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom hovers around 82,100, it added.
Some 1.53 million COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.
More than 4.37 million Jordanians have taken two COVID-19 vaccine shots.
