FM, CICA executive director discuss preparations for conference
Foreign minister Ayman Safadi and the Executive Director of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Secretariat Kairat Sarybay met Wednesday to discuss the outcomes of the 6th ministerial meeting and the preparations for the upcoming conference.
Safadi said the conference is an opportunity to enhance cooperation between member states, emphasising Jordan's keenness to continue working with its partners through the multilateral regional and international frameworks to combat terrorism and overcome common challenges.
He highlighted that Jordan is keen to improve its 'distinguished' ties with Kazakhstan, which currently chairs CICA.
For his part, Sarybay praised Jordan for its 'main' role in upholding regional security and stability.
