The Senate Jordanian-Emirati Brotherhood Committee, headed by Hussein Majali, on Thursday discussed with UAE ambassador to Jordan, Ahmed Ali Al Balushi, ways and prospects for strengthening bilateral relations in various fields and sectors, and reviewed issues of common interest.
Speaking at the meeting with Al Balushi, Majali 'strongly' condemned the terrorist attacks launched by the Houthi militia on the UAE, stressing Jordan's 'absolute' solidarity with Abu Dhabi and affirming that security of the UAE and all Arab Gulf states is part of Jordan's.
Majali also referred to the 'historic and solid' Jordanian-UAE relations, stressing the importance of developing them to 'higher' levels.
For his part, the UAE envoy expressed pride in the 'deep-rooted, long-standing and strong' bilateral relations at all levels, which have received attention from the two countries' leaderships.
The Emirati diplomat also highlighted the importance of the work of Senate Jordanian-Emirati Brotherhood Committee and its ' remarkable' role to strengthen joint cooperation and coordination, especially in supporting Arab issues within the regional and international framework.
The envoy, moreover, expressed pride in the two countries' cooperation in the legislative and parliamentary fields with the UAE Federal National Council (FNC), especially in light of the 'frequent and fruitful' meetings and visits held in this regard.
Meanwhile, the committee's members underlined the need to enhance continued cooperation and coordination between the two countries, especially in regard to 'vital' projects in education, health, information technology, investments, energy, infrastructure, water and tourism fields and exchange of 'successful' experiences.
