200,000 drug pills seized at Jaber border crossing
Customs officers at the Jaber border crossing, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Department and security services, Tuesday foiled an attempt to smuggle in 200,000 drug pills, the Customs Department said in a press release.
The department's media spokesman Fadi Qudah said that the Captagon drug pills were hidden inside a truck coming from a neighboring Arab country, which aroused suspicion, and the pills were detected by an X-ray machine.
The smuggled drugs were referred to the Anti-Narcotics Department for legal action to be taken, he said.
