4 members of Jordan girls football delegation infected with Covid
Four members of the Jordanian team to the West Asian U14 Girls Championship, which concluded in Lebanon on Friday, have tested positive for coronavirus, the Jordan Football Association announced Saturday.
It said on its official website that PCR tests showed that coach Imad Tarayra, physician Aseel Abu Deyeh and players Ranin Abu Srour and Sama Shnikat were infected with the virus.
The association said that the infections came after the tests that were taken yesterday before the final match against Lebanon, which the Jordanian side won, and that they will go into a five-day isolation period under the Lebanese health protocol, in coordination with the Jordanian embassy in Beirut.
The Jordanian squad will return home this evening with the trophy, it said.
